Straight From The Kitchen, LLC is the product of Marsha and Matthew Thompson working together to provide AMAZING high quality foods and desserts.
Our focus is Comfort Food with a "Southern Flair." We keep it simple and uncomplicated. Fresh ingredients and love add the flavor.
The result is Southern Comfort cuisine.
About Chef Marsha:
Being born and reared in the South, food became Chef Marsha's passion at an early age. Chef Marsha was fortunate enough to be around her paternal grandmother, Clara Mae (Nana), and it was in her kitchen where she learned the traditions that had been passed down for many generations.
One key lesson was you have to put your heart into your food.
Her Mother's (Johnnie) cooking style was also very influential. Johnnie was born and raised in Deep South Mississippi. Her Mom began to pass down the cooking traditions of her mother, Flora. Chef Marsha's maternal grandparents were share croppers in Mississippi and grew the majority of the foods they ate. The philosophies she learned from her grandmother was fresh is best, keep it simple and it doesn't have to be complicated to taste spectacular.
As a chef, she sees the importance of family traditions and keeping those memories alive. She maintains the tradition, but introduces new flavors and tastes.
About the Business Manager Matt:
The face of Straight From the Kitchen is Matt, who is equally as passionate for food. When you step in the restaurant you will see and hear his voice. "Welcome to Straight From the kitchen. My name is Matt. What can we git'cha??" Matt never forgets a face.
As a former restaurateur and finance manager, he Brings over 10 years of business operations experience to the table. He is very versed in sales and marketing.
Matt's philosophy is be happy when you cook and cook with love. Cook as if your were fixing it for yourself and it will always be AMAZING.
